I am a BA photography student primarily working with landscape, aiming towards visualising my perception of society inspired from the curiosity of social science. I make work which tries to tackle societal themes through unorthodox methodologies that attempts to play on the way a viewer perceives the modern world through underlying messages.

In relation to this project ‘Suspicion’ it explores themes of crime and media, which in turn plays on the uncertain legitimacy of what is reported. Therefore, through text and image relations the perception of the everyday is shifted through the addition of what is supposedly reported as facts, in contrary to a fictional interpretation from what could have possibly occurred. The combination of fact and fiction in this project challenges the accuracy of the media and how the everyday environment provided with context can shift our perceptions of what our observations deem true.
